Wat ik geloof!

In onze kerk in Amerika werd gevraagd eens precies op te schrijven waar je nou eigenlijk in geloofd. Daarom is het in het Engels geschreven.

AS A CHRISTIAN I BELIEVE;

In the bible, the old and new testaments, inspired by God.
It is the final autority for all Christian life in matters of faith and practice.

The unity of God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Everywere present and unchangeable, perfect in love,rightiousness, justice, goodness, grace and mercy.

In Jesus Christ, the son of God who became man. Was concieved by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.
He did miracles and lives a sinless life, suffered and died for the sins of the world. He arose from the dead and all who believe in him will do so too. He ascended to the right hand of God and reigns over everything, intercedes for believers, and will return to earth someday!

That man was created in the image of God but fell into disobedience by a voluntary decision. Therfore we were seperated from God and became spitatualy dead and subject to physical death. Jesus was the only one who lived a sinless life. His blood is shed for our redemption. By believing this we are forgiven and we become children of God.

That the Holy Spirit is in every believer at the moment of saving faith. The Holy Spirit makes us wants to glorify the Lord and wants us to witness for Christ in His Power and study the bible with his help.

That the church, all who believe and accept Christ as a Savior, is one body! With Jesus Christ as the Head.
That it is our responsibility to keep the unity of the Spirit in peace and with a loving heart.

ALLES HEEFT ZIJN TIJD.

Als ik ooit het gevoel heb gehad in een tussenfase van mijn leven te zitten, is het nu! Op het zelfde moment heb ik het gevoel iets te moeten doen. Mijn kundigheid om mezelf los te maken van het verleden wil niet automatisch zeggen dat ik klaar ben voor de volgende stap. Het is een tijd van voorbereiding, rust en vernieuwing wat me kracht geeft om die stap te doen. Als ik me schuldig voel als ik weer eens iets niet af heb mag ik van mezelf van de rust genieten. Als het "nieuwe" begin er komt (en ik ben er zeker van dat het komt) ben ik klaar en voorbereid om het met beide handen aan te pakken!
